Dr Steve Merchant is a veterinarian with 30+ year’s experience in veterinary-related businesses.
He co-founded and managed Pet Doctors, New Zealand’s largest group of companion animal clinics. He also pioneered a number of technology-related businesses, including an early e-commerce platform.
In 2020, Steve saw the potential for artificial intelligence (AI) technology to support veterinary clinics. Virtual Vet Nurse is built with leading AI conversational chatbot platforms, and has been quickly adopted by clinics throughout Australasia, the UK, USA, Canada and elsewhere.
The Virtual Vet Nurse team continues to work on new enhancements and functionality, including a digital human and vet-curated ChatGPT. This is just the beginning!
